• North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Society (NERCRMS), Meghalaya in collaboration with Changlang Community Resource Management Society (CCRMS), Arunachal Pradesh launched Namdapha Goodness in Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh named after the iconic Namdapha National Park.
• NERCRMS is a registered society under the aegis of North Eastern Council (NEC) and ministry of development of north eastern region (MDoNER).
• This initiative is to boost the sale of locally produced goods of the community-based organisation (CBO) members, to improve the socio-economic condition of the rural populace and to generate sustainable employment opportunities among the village communities and unemployed youths through the manufacturing, marketing and distribution related activities.
• Currently, a variety of products including edibles such as banana chips, spices such as ginger and turmeric powder, bakery items, locally spun clothes and sanitary napkins are being marketed under the brand. The products are distributed through a chain of local shops, village huts and marts of NABARD marts and private entrepreneurs.
Namdapha National Park
• Namdapha was declared as a tiger reserve by the government in 1983.
• Namdapha is in fact the name of a river which originates from Dapha Bum (Dapha is the name of hill, Bum means peak of hill) and meets Noa-Dehing river. This river flows right across in a north-south direction of the national park and hence got the name Namdapha.
• The area is located in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
• The park spans a wide altitudinal range from 200 m to 4,571 m at Dapha Bum, the highest point in the park.
• Namdapha and its adjoining areas, is flanked by the Patkai hills to the south and south-east and by the Himalaya in the north. The area lies close to the Indo-Myanmar-China trijunction. Forests are contiguous across the international boundary with Myanmar, with several adjoining protected areas. It is bordered on the north by the Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary (550m to 4,200 m), Lohit district.

• It is only park in the World to have the four Feline species of big cat namely the Tiger (Panthera Tigris), Leopard (Panthera Pardus), Snow Leopard (Panthera Uncia) and Clouded Leopard (Neofelis Nebulosa).
