• The scheme will leverage advanced technology to ensure transparency, efficiency and seamless disbursement of the financial benefits.
• An Aadhaar-based e-KYC authentication process will be employed to screen the applicants.
• Mahila Samridhi Yojana was one of the key promises made by the BJP during the Delhi Assembly elections, which concluded earlier this year.
• The scheme is part of the state government’s broader efforts to promote women’s empowerment and financial independence.
• It aligns with the central government’s initiatives, such as the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign and the ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana’, aimed at improving the socio-economic status of women in India.
