India, Russia hold 8th session of Working Group on Priority Investment Projects

• India and Russia have agreed on six new strategic projects to deepen bilateral investment cooperation.

• It was agreed during the 8th session of India-Russia Working Group on Priority Investment Projects (IRWG-PIP) under the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation.

• The session aimed at strengthening economic ties between India and Russia by identifying and advancing collaborative projects in sectors of mutual interest.

• Discussions were held in a constructive atmosphere, with both countries reaffirming their commitment to expand investment collaboration across various sectors. 

• The meeting, held in New Delhi, focused on identifying and advancing collaborative initiatives in sectors of mutual interest, reinforcing the long-standing economic partnership between the two countries.

• Following the session, the second edition of the India-Russia Investment Forum was also organised, in collaboration with Invest India, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

• The India-Russia Investment Forum saw participation from over 80 Indian and Russian businesses, including entrepreneurs, financial institutions, cargo companies, business chambers, researchers, and officials.
