• Chief Justice of India Surya Kant announced the launch of ‘Su Sahay’, an AI-powered assistance chatbot integrated with the Supreme Court website to facilitate easier access to justice and court-related services for litigants.
• The CJI said the chatbot has been developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in collaboration with the Supreme Court Registry.
• This will provide a simple and convenient interface for citizens to seek front-end guidelines and guidance in accessing essential services of the Supreme Court.
How it works?
• On visiting the Supreme Court’s website, ‘Su Sahayak’ is visible as a collapsed, rotating icon at the bottom right area of the screen. Upon clicking the icon, the chatbot expands to a larger chat interface.
• Su Sahayak provides assistance through five primary modules, accessible via the option buttons.
They are:
i) Case Status
ii) Cause List
iii) Orders and Judgments
iv) E-Services
v) Frequently Asked Questions.
What is ‘One Case One Data’ initiative of Supreme Court?
• CJI Surya Kant announced the launch of ‘One Case One Data’ initiative on May 11.
• It is a major digital initiative aimed at strengthening judicial data integration and improving public access to court services across the country.
• It will integrate multi-level information from all the High Courts, district courts and taluka courts into a unified system.
