India’s junior men, women crowned hockey Asia Cup champions

• The Indian junior women’s and men’s hockey teams clinched the AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026 in Moqi, China.

• The Indian junior women’s hockey team won the title, defeating China 1-0.

• Sanika Chandrakant Mane’s 17th-minute strike proved enough for the defending champions to retain their continental crown and complete a hat-trick of Women’s Junior Asia Cup titles. 

• The triumph also secured India’s qualification for the FIH Junior Women’s World Cup. 

• India, led by captain Khaidem Shileima Chanu, finished the tournament unbeaten. 

• In the junior men’s final, India beat South Korea (4-1) to win the title.

• The victory saw India, led by captain Anmol Ekka, successfully defend their title and lift the continental crown for a record sixth time.

• The triumph also confirms India’s qualification for the FIH Men’s Junior World Cup.

• India’s previous titles came in 2004, 2008, 2015, 2023 and 2024.
