Jannik Sinner, Linda Noskova win Wimbledon title

• Top-ranked Jannik Sinner beat Alexander Zverev 6-7 (7), 7-6 (2), 6-3, 6-4 for his second consecutive Wimbledon title on July 12.

• Sinner, 24, became the first Italian to win a Wimbledon singles title in 2025 by beating Carlos Alcaraz, and now joins an elite list of 10 men to successfully defend it in the professional era.

• It was Sinner’s 10th straight victory over Zverev, who was coming off his first Grand Slam title at the French Open. Zverev had been bidding to become the first German man to win the Wimbledon title since Michael Stich in 1991.

• Linda Noskova defeated Karolina Muchova to clinch her maiden Grand Slam crown. Noskova’s 6-2 5-7 6-3 win made her the third Czech woman to claim the title in four years after Marketa Vondrousova in 2023 and Barbora Krejcikova in 2024.

• Noskova is the youngest woman to win Wimbledon since Kvitova was also 21 in 2011.

• It was the 29-year-old Muchova’s second Grand Slam final after Iga Swiatek defeated her at the French Open in 2023.

• World No.1 pair Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara claimed their third major together as they beat Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo 7-6(4) 7-6(3) to win the men’s doubles title at Wimbledon for the second time.

• Chinese and French pair Guo Hanyu and Kristina Mladenovic outwitted second seeds Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani 6-3 7-5 to win the Wimbledon women's doubles title.
