China, Egypt launch ‘Eagles of Civilisation’ air exercise

• China and Egypt launched the joint ‘Eagles of Civilization’ air exercise on August 22.

• The exercise is held at several air bases across Egypt, with multirole fighter aircraft of various types taking part.

• Eagles of Civilisation is being held as part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ joint training program with the militaries of partner countries and is intended to strengthen military cooperation between Egypt and China.

• The exercise includes theoretical and practical training for Egyptian and Chinese personnel, aimed at establishing common operational concepts and improving coordination between the two sides.

• The participating forces will conduct joint air sorties and train on planning and managing joint air combat operations. 

• The exercise also provides an opportunity for personnel from both countries to exchange experience and develop operational skills.
